The Artists' Web was founded in October 2004, as a gallery and retail space for individual artists, to enable local artists to exhibit and sell their creations at a high profile retail location. It functions in a similar way to a cooperative, with each artist leasing an individual space, and creating a mini-gallery within the space, for a time period of three to six months. Originally, we exhibited many different mediums of art, but in February of 2008, the focus shifted to handmade children's items. Only original designs and handmade items are allowed to partake in the gallery.

The Artists' Web is located on the busy Main Street Shopping District, between Hill and Ashland Streets, on the West side (beach side) of the street. We also participate in the family oriented Farmer's Market on Main Street, each Sunday.

In order to keep costs at a minimum to artists, the lease fee is held at the lowest price possible, and the commission is a mere 25%. The Artists' Web is also fully capable of accepting credit cards, debit cards, and cash, as well as providing the sales tax collection and bookkeeping service. There is no hourly commitment of time involved.
